“Unfortunately, one of the biggest challenges in authentically connecting with another person is time. In a fast paced society, we have small talks with so many people because we are always on the go. It is not until you sit down with a person for an extended time that you really get to hear from them.”

Diana has been teaching at High Tech High Media Arts in San Diego since 2005. She currently teaches 9th grade Humanities there, while incorporating projects that include photography, narrative non fiction writing, spoken word, and cultural revolution research. She did her student teaching at Junipero Serra High School in San Diego. Diana has received the following degrees from University of San Diego: Beginning Teacher and Support Assessment, Clear Credential; MA Education in Learning & Teaching; Single Subject Credentials in English, Social Studies & Spanish; supplementary credential in Spanish; BAs in English & Spanish. Diana studied abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico and has led high school students on trips to China and Spain.
