“Teaching is a humbling experience. The role tests your strength, beliefs, patience, compassion and creativity. Teaching is not a one way street with the teacher as the ultimate giver of knowledge. Instead, it is a deeply interconnected network. I became a teacher who learned with my students, who asked meaningful questions, who listened to and advocated for my students.”

Kristin has been teaching for seven years and is currently teaching 6th grade math and science at High Tech Middle North County, High Tech High Charter School.  She previously taught 7th grade math and science at High Tech Middle School and 6th grade at Luther Burbank Middle School, Burbank Unified School District.  Kristin holds a M.A. in Teaching & Learning (Curriculum Design) from University of California, San Diego and a B.S. in General Studies (Education) with science concentration from University of Southern California.  She has participated in study abroad programs in England and Japan.
