A 5K Run Along Beautiful Crissy Field to Benefit Teach With Africa, in Honor of Tracey Lurie-Sklar

Tracey Lurie-Sklar was a teacher, mother, daughter, sister, and community leader. Born in Africa on June 13, 1962, Tracey  passed away on November 6, 2008.

Once again, Teach With Africa is deeply honored by Tracey’s brother, Steve Lurie, for organizing this event in honor of Tracey’s spirit and work with students both in the US and abroad.

The run is a 5.7 KM out-and-back course from the parking lot of the St. Francis Yacht Club along Crissy Field to the turnaround at Fort Point.

Whether you join in the run or sign up to donate $25 from afar, your support is greatly appreciated. Every dollar raised will celebrate Tracey’s inspiring life and work while supporting our mission to break down the economic and social barriers to education in South Africa through an exchange of teaching and learning.

Click here to sign-up to Run or to make a donate to this wonderful cause.

Please visit the Run For Teachers website for more information about the life of Tracey Lurie-Sklar and this memorial event.
