2012 Faculty-in-Residence

“Some time ago I began to see the school as an opportunity for the creation of community…A community where curiosity and effort are rewarded, where process is as essential as product, and where the art of communication is vital. A community where our differences are celebrated and where the diversity of individual needs finds genuine support.”

Howard has been an educator for more than 16 years, from the east coast to the west coast, from middle school to 12th grade. Currently, Howard teaches and develops curriculum for 7th and 8th graders at Katherine Delmar Burke School in San Francisco, where he also serves as the 7th grade advisor. His incredible breadth of experience as well as his passion for multicultural awareness makes him perfect to be a TWA faculty-in-Residence at the LEAP Schools in South Africa.
