Amy Schoew, Senior Advisor

Amy Schoew is currently working with TWA leadership on strategic planning and fundraising/development efforts. Since TWA’s inception in October 2007, Amy worked with the founders to create and administer the non-profit organization. She joined Teach With Africa’s team as chair of the 2008 Inaugural Benefit and served as Executive Director from February 2008-September 2013. Under her leadership, TWA grew to an annual operating budget of nearly $500,000 and exchanged more than 100 educators in projects in South Africa and the U.S.

Amy’s background includes 20+ years of experience in communications, fundraising and management in the technology and non-profit sectors, with an emphasis on event fundraising, major gift strategies and execution, donor cultivation and relationship management. She holds a B.A. of English Literature with a minor in Business Administration from Presbyterian College, South Carolina.
