Matt Loomes
TWA Ambassador

Born in Johannesburg, Matt spent his early childhood in South Africa before immigrating to Canada and then the United States.  With his entire extended family still in South Africa, Matt maintains deep ties to his birthplace. Having seen the educational disparity firsthand, Teach with Africa’s mission is particularly meaningful to Matt.

Matt is currently an associate at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), a private investment firm. Prior to WCAS, he worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley after graduating from Northeastern University.

Garrison Roe
TWA Ambassador
As an undergraduate, Garrison developed a strong passion for international development through his studies and travels. He is particularly interested in Sub-Saharan Africa and the potential for improvements in education to facilitate the achievement of social and economic goals across the continent. Garrison is drawn to Teach with Africa’s mission because of the lasting opportunities that its programs create for students, teachers, and communities in South Africa.

Garrison is currently an Associate at Hellman & Friedman (H&F), a San Francisco-based private equity firm. Prior to H&F, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York. Garrison graduated from Dartmouth College with a double major in Economics and Government.
